Simon Calvert, Editor-in-Chief Simon Calvert, Editor-in-Chief
Simon Calvert, currently global chief planning officer, joined Draftfcb in August 2006 as head of strategy for London. Last year, he added regional responsibilities for Europe/Middle East as head of creative business solutions. He has been responsible for building and developing our capabilities in creative planning, experience architecture (CRM, digital, retail and advertising), commercial intelligence and knowledge management in the region.
As part of his new global responsibilities, Simon is leading the intellectual development of our planning practice worldwide. Along with other planning leaders in our network, he jointly sets best practices and standards for how we do strategic planning at the agency. In the process, he is building a core planning community across multiple offices. He also works closely with other global strategic leads from Digital, Media, Retail, and Analytics to more sharply define Draftfcb's multi-disciplinary strategic assets. In addition to his global duties, Simon will continue to act in a regional capacity and as part of the core leadership team in the London agency.
With 23 years of experience, Simon began his career on the account side at McCann Erickson and Saatchi&Saatchi. After five years, he got his first taste of account planning at Euro RSCG London, before moving into the media world working for Michaelides & Bednash and then Carat. His next move was to co-found Heresy, an integrated communications agency in the U.K and in 2004 joined Proximity UK as head of strategy.
Married with 2 children, Simon is a graduate of Queen Mary College, University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Stephen Martincic joined Draftfcb in August 2006. As SVP Corporate Communications Worldwide, Stephen is responsible for helping to build the global reputation of Draftfcb.
A French native, Stephen speaks several languages and is based in Draftfcb’s current regional HQ in London.
Before joining Draftfcb, Stephen was a Senior Consultant for Leo Burnett EMEA in Paris, and the Meribel Ad Festival. During his 13 years in the business, he has managed the internal and external communications functions for the likes of Leo Burnett, OMD and several Havas companies in Paris.
Leone Hansen, Content Coordinator Leone Hansen, Content Coordinator
Leone joined Draftfcb in 2010 as Regional Corporate Communications Associate for EMEA. Based in London she works alongside Stephen Martincic, SVP Corporate Communications Worldwide.
Born and raised in New Zealand, Leone also lived in Sydney and worked in PR before moving to the UK.
Luis Dias, Art Director Luis Dias, Art Director
Luis has a degree in Communication & Design from IADE, where he also lectured in the Technical School of Design between 1991 and 1997.
In 1991 Luis was a founding partner of the creative boutique Proteína. Between corporate image projects and emerging multimedia support, he worked on image and communication, specialising in editorial.
A year later, he joined Lusomundo, one of the leading media groups in Portugal and in 1998 Luis joined Edson Comunicação as Head of Design. In 1999 he was appointed Design Creative Director of Edson, FCB.
In 2002, Luis was appointed Executive Creative Director of Foote Cone & Belding Portugal, before being promoted to President and CEO of Foote, Cone and Belding Portugal which then became Draftfcb Portugal.
Andy Day, Design Director Andy Day, Design Director
Born and raised in Australia, Andy moved to the UK 13 years ago. Since then he’s worked across both advertising and design fields with an ever-expanding mix of media and channels.
Drawn towards companies whose output is as diverse as their thinking, he’s worked in senior roles for Saatchi, Open Co UK, Joshua and Naked Communications UK. Andy also worked as a professional photographer for 3 years.
John Lloyd, Designer John Lloyd, Designer
John joined Draftfcb in 2006 as a Digital Art Director. In his time with the agency he has worked for clients such as Saab, Vauxhall, Stella Artois, Beck’s, Oxfam, Motorola and SC Johnson. John also has worked on numerous pitches including wins for Chevrolet and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
After completing his Visual Communication Design degree in 2000, John began his digital career at Aargentum for clients such as Exel and British Telecom. Following a move to Australia in January 2001, John worked as an Interactive Designer for ZCT Digital working on new media productions for clients including Foxtel, Coca-Cola, Kirin Beer and Toyota. John then joined creative agency Studio Emotion as New Media Art Director where he worked across a range of digital platforms for global brands such as Warner Bros Music, Empire Records, Sony and Swatch Group (including Christian Dior, Calvin Klein and Longines).
John has received numerous awards for his work, which include IDM winner, IMA winner, AIMIA finalist, Campaign Digital finalist and a John Caples Bronze.
Nadine Clarke , Editorial Nadine Clarke , Editorial
Nadine Clarke is a Social Media Producer at Draftfcb London - which means she's got a legitimate reason to be on Facebook, Twitter & Co. all day long. A Montreal native, she moved to the UK over 5 years ago for what she thought would only be one year… What matters to Nadine? Having a valid passport, Spotify playlists, HBO and food markets that sell French cheese.
