Why it matters
Many companies speak about doing good but its rare to see a brand being as open as “Honest by”. If the future is for businesses to be more transparent about everything, will marketing shift towards that trend and ultimately give more power to consumers?
The world is full of good ideas that unfortunately don't always get developed. The start-up CityMart capitalised on this fact and created an online market to connect cities with solution providers in areas such as health,transport, tourism and other public responsibility sectors. There are currently over 470 different ideas submitted on the platform, from urban farming to city tours.
Duracell supported victims of hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey with a rapid response team. They set up mobile stations to allow people to charge their electronic gadgets, get access to the web and gave away free batteries for torches and other devices.
