Taking cover under plastic waste

The designer Garth Britzman has used plastic bottles to create a cover for a parking space. To give it a bit of colour, he added dyed liquid to the bottles to produce a specific design.

Why it matters

Is this an interesting and creative use of recycled material? Are practical yet artistic installations the way forward to help solve a very serious problem such as plastic waste?

What will you do for a bargain?

The Be magazine has launched a challenge to its audience : go to a Diesel shop, try the clothes selected, and take a “be stupid” picture of themselves thanks to a photo booth located in the shop. These photos will then be uploaded onto the Be website, and the winners of the most deserving picture will get Diesel suits and a publication of their pictures in the magazine.
