Social seat number neighbours
The Dutch airline KLM is developing a new service, which enables passengers to choose their seat neighbour on their next flight via Facebook and LinkedIn. This way travelling long distances could become more enjoyable for passengers.
Why it matters
Enabling passengers to connect with likeminded people via social media may add a new value to flying. This concept holds many chances for collaboration with brands that offer other services, for example business networking or match making services. If this proves to be a success, will we also see car rentals or train operating companies providing a similar service?
