Shopping directly from video tags
Videodeals allows businesses to upload videos and tag the items that appear in them. This allows them to sell products based on more complete information rather than just an image and copy. The platform is currently available in beta version, but the full launch is expected shortly.
Why it matters
Video consumption has been on a rise for quite some time now and is a medium that a lot of consumers turn to. While video tagging is not necessarily new, this tool allows more businesses to use the technique easily. What other digital techniques could be democratised and help businesses display their product where their audience is?

This social business is being developed by Fundação EDP’s Social Lab and the SEA (Agency of Social Entrepreneurs). Still in its testing phase, this project aims at helping unemployed seamstresses. Clients can make online orders, the clothes that need alterations are picked up, the seamstresses work from home, then the clothes are delivered back.
