Two Spanish travel agents have recently joined forces in a bid to boost their offering in an increasingly recession-hit travel market. Carrefour Travels, a ‘traditional’ travel agency aims to take advantage of the online coverage that Logitravel offers, while Logitravel aim to cross-sell its “Cruises and Coasts” products to selected Carrefour Travels clients.
Credit and debit cards have become the payment of choice in our digital world. People rarely carry cash anymore and this is having an adverse effect on tips, as people pay with their cards in bars and restaurants. This is an important issue for waiters and waitresses who still work on a low hourly wage and rely on tips to boost their income.
The TipJar offers a quick and easy solution. Simply dip your card into the jar to tip a dollar. If you want to tip two dollars, just dip it twice. Starbucks have announced their intention to introduce a similar app for ‘digital tipping’ in the US in 2013. This will allow customers to show their gratitude more easily and more conveniently.
