Opening the books on Portugal
PE Probe is a website that aggregates relevant information about Portugal’s economy and finances in English. It showcases statistics, events and documents issued by top organisations across the country. Created by the nonprofit entity Portugal Economy Probe, the website serves as a display window for the country’s assets.
Why it matters
The project is backed by renowned institutions such as the Portuguese Banking Association and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The platform is a unique example of competitors getting together for the greater good of the country. What other cooperation initiatives can competing organisations explore to improve the health of their country’s markets and economy?
Every year we each receive 30kg of advertising through our letterboxes, creating 60kg of harmful CO2 gases. The project BuzonVerde.com was initiated to balance these emissions. Registered users of the site benefit from targeted promotions relevant to them and receive instant electronic versions. This saves paper, printing, and transportation as well as ensuring accurately targeted brand promotions.
The digital world has changed the professional environment and a lot of new career paths have emerged from this. While universities continue to offer classical career education, courses don’t always reflect the actual job market needs.
That’s why Infoempleo (a job search website) and Kschool (a digital professions school) created a new professions guide. It aims to help students and professionals know what’s really going on and which specialities are most in demand.
