Mobile phone schooling
The latest application developed by software company Totvs enables parents to access detailed information on their children’s schooling using their mobile phones. The application notifies parents if their child is late for or missing from class, informs them of exam grades and teachers’ observations as well as delivering memos and meeting requests.

Office Box is a new business solution from state-owned Portuguese Telecom PT, that allows small and medium retailers to have management and communication tools in one integrated service. The Office Box offers retailers broadband, telephone, TV and management tools such as stocks control, cash flows, selling statistics and campaign analysis.
Artist groups in Germany have produced audio drama walking tours that are directly linked to city spaces (e.g. about the history laden Alexanderplatz in Berlin). A smart phone app shows, via GPS, where these spots are located and once they are reached, sound-clips of the stories are activated.
