Happy tweet, jazzy beat
Red Bull is taking tweets and turning them into beats. A tweet is analysed and is associated to a unique sound clip that has an upbeat or downbeat sound based on the emotional sentiment of the tweet.
Why it matters
Music has always been connected to our mood. As we share our moods more and more on social media networks, can a tool such as this one make us more aware of our collective wellbeing and more importantly, can it change our behaviour?
Italian TV network TG1 Rai has launched a News channel called ‘Il TG1 sei tu’ (which translates as ‘the TG1 is you’). All news on the channel is user- generated and viewers are encouraged not just to watch but to participate by sharing their stories, suggestions, ideas and commentary on current affairs.
“Hapmap” is a new navigation system that doesn’t just show you the way - it lets you feel it. Simply enter your route on a smartphone and connect it to a hard foam device. The system uses haptic responses allowing users to know whether they should walk straight, turn left or right. The device is supposed to simulate an invisible handrail.
