Italian supermarket iPer La Grande has created a new sub brand iNaturale that uses social media to connect with customers about environmental issues.
Why it matters
Having a green sub brand gives retailers a new platform from which to build their environmental credentials. In the future will we see retailers with other sub brands, such as Family and Premium?
Aépure is a new upmarket beauty retailer that sells high-end independent cosmetic brands. The stores are conceived in the style of a fashion magazine –where shop windows are designed as magazine covers and shelves as magazine columns.
This is a “haptic” floor tiling system that has a “deformable plate suspended on a platform”, which means when a user steps on the plate they can get different tactile sensations as if they are stepping on different surfaces. There is even top-down projection and speakers to use the visual and audio feedback. This means you get the crunch of snow and the rustle of leaves.
