With even toilets becoming multi-sensory experiences, what other public spaces (such as car parks/lifts/changing rooms) will be designed and run to feed the five senses?
Bus stops are to be transformed into works of art in a London-wide design project. Digital artist Alfie Dennen has designed a computer programme to create images for the tops of bus shelters after being inspired by attempts to beautify the roofs on his local route. Dennen says he wants to provide a canvas to allow Londoners and communities to tell their stories to thousands of passengers every day.
“Openaire“ is a hybrid of a laptop case, work surface and chair. The system consists of a semi-rigid protective sleeve designed as an ergonomic laptop work surface and a protective shell that also functions as a comfortable seat, which can be easily folded away into to a carrying case.
