“Party in a box” is a package sent out to guests across the United States, letting you share your get together with your loved ones living far away. Those who receive the kit have to send back a photo portraying themselves having fun.
Why it matters
Despite distance, this kind of concept could encourage virtual connections. We can’t always celebrate some of the most important moments in our lives surrounded by everyone we care for the most. Is this unconventional way to celebrate at a distance the new tangible way of bringing people closer in this deeply virtual era?
'Alma cheese, directly from the cheese maker' is the motto of this Austrian cheese company. To highlight the important work of the dairymen in the Alps of Vorarlberg, Alma has sent 10 people to live in an alpine hut in Bregenzerwald. Their experiences will be reported via a blog. One of the bloggers will be Lena Hoschek, well known Austrian designer, who creates modern dirndl dresses.
There are now interactive reality health programmes that mirror entertainment talk shows. The programmes feature famous doctors taking on the role of presenters and female callers that phone in to discuss their issue with the doctors in front of a live audience.
