SNIFF is a project by artist Karolina Sobecka with software design by Jim George, and it could mean big things for the future of window shopping. A 3D image of a puppy is projected against a shop window in NYC. Using infrared lights and a camera, the puppy is able to track passerby’s position and direction of movement and respond to them.
“Avenade” is a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture that has created a new product purchase application. The application lets people interact with a movie screen while the film is playing, touching a good (i.e. a bag) and immediately knowing where they can buy that product and how much it costs.
